The MFF is the Film Festival of the City of Milazzo. It consists of a film review, an International Short Film Competition, a Feature Film Competition, and the “Lo Scarabeo d’Argento” Award.

The competition aims to provide expressive spaces for independent filmmakers from all over the world who, drawing from personal inspirations and reflections, are capable of exploring new visions of contemporary issues. The sections of the competition are traditionally two: short films with free themes and, in collaboration with the Area Marina of Capo Milazzo, focusing on environmental sustainability and marine protection.

The international feature film competition “Attilio Liga” is dedicated to feature film and documentary filmmakers and celebrates works that deeply explore relevant themes. Each year, the Committee selects a specific category to highlight new cinematic perspectives and innovative narrative styles.
